I began to read and study the Bible on my own (without any human teacher or parent telling me to do it) when I was 8 years old but it was only when I was 49 years old that I got the full benefit of studying the Bible. I am now 65 years old.
In most cases your chosen distance study course will commence at least twice a year and sometimes more often than that. It will be better for you if you take your time and wait until the next intake so you can have a good look at the course and any others you are interested in. With that extra research time you may find an even better course that you would have missed out on had you rushed to make your decision.

Hopefully, you may start recording and realize that your teen is doing no wrong. From there, you can keep the monitoring to a minimum. But if there is something going on, you have the ability to stop it before it turns into something even worse.

Planfor time to study. That means to turn off the television or cell phone, and don’t try to squeeze in your study time around other events that are more important to you. Schedule short blocks of time, such as 30 minute blocks, and give your full attention to the material during that time. When the time is up, take a break and get refreshed. Plan for several blocks of time with breaks interspersed if necessary. During the breaks, you can text your friends, check emails, or go to that movie, but studying comes first.
During the research phase, you need to go to the library or scour the internet and find out about what has been written before. Read as much as you can about it and try to find an existing problem that needs solving or come up with something that you think might or might not work for your topic. Keep in mind that whatever research material you used, keep track on them because you will certainly need them for citations in your case study.
Even students who think they don’t have time can learn this special technique for studying while doing other things. Use technology like iPods and mp3’s to study. Listen to the stories again and again. Briefly check the meanings of the words before you study them in the stories you choose. Do this regularly and frequently. These are the core study habits you need to really start to control the language you are studying.
Emergencies do happen. Make sure that at least one adult, either yourself or a neighbor, is available to help in case of an emergency. With some worthwhile pre-planning, your teen can have a fun, confidence-building and profitable babysitting experience and you can have a worry-free New Year’s Eve!
